Rebate Faq’s
What rebates or subsidies are available for pensioners, veterans, and concession card holders?
Pensioner Concession Card and DVA Card holders are eligible for free annual hearing assessments, and may also access subsidised hearing aids or assisted listening devices through the Hearing Services Program. Seniors and concession card holders can also receive discounted services for hearing tests, wax removal, and ongoing treatment.
Can I claim hearing services through Medicare, private health, or NDIS?
Yes. Medicare rebates are available for full hearing assessments with a GP or ENT referral, and many private health funds provide rebates for hearing tests and hearing aids. If you’re an NDIS participant or covered under WorkCover, we can also help you access funding for your hearing services.
Do private health funds cover hearing tests and hearing aids?
Yes. Many private health insurance policies include rebates for hearing assessments as well as hearing aids, though the level of cover depends on your fund and policy. We can check your details and let you know exactly what rebates you’re entitled to before your appointment.
Am I eligible to receive free hearing aids in Australia?
You may be eligible for free or heavily subsidised hearing aids through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program if you hold a Pensioner Concession Card, DVA Gold Card, or qualify under Community Service Obligations (CSO).
